Well having had to fly for years and being able to stop - I haven't had to fly for sometime and the trips I have taken since limiting my business travel have been on international carriers.
Well today I am taking a vacation and wanted to describe my experiences.
The check points are pretty much as they have been for some time and it really doesn't matter if you are traveling internationally or domestically.
Sitting on my flight, currently in flight, I see what I despise about US owned airlines - They have us hostage to their rudeness. They don't even have a need to pretend to treat us as paying customers.
I understand the business need to generate revenue by charging for everything but the air you breath (not yet anyway) - Don't agree but understand. I don't understand the "we take your money to tell you what to do" attitude.
I am serious there are a lot of little king and queens working for airlines...they appear to hate their jobs and us the customer...
Basically we are hostages, maybe Stockholm syndrome will kick in soon and I will change my attitude toward my captors - But' I doubt it.

I do find today's media comical and enjoy watching them think so much of themselves... We have them declaring McCain/Palin rallies hateful while never reporting the vandalism and destruction of McCain headquarters...but, you and I are to stupid to realize this. Then again viewership and subscriptions are down while media outlets all over are laying people off (maybe we ain't that stupid, and they are).
Anyway we have a new wave of "fear mongering" at election time - an AP headline reads "Retail sales plunge 1.2 percent in September"...
Plunge, plunge (?) doesn't that make you think of something other than 1.2%? Plunge makes me think it is a
big deal, something that hasn't happened for some time...not just three years or thirty-six months, as we read.
plunging by the largest amount in three years
But we aren't supposed to read and certainly not think, Mr. Crutsinger will do that for you - Just shut-up and be scared and know that only the media and their choice (Obama) can help you!

Lying again - Mr. Obama "promises" to cut taxes on 95% of Americans...neat trick when, as the
Wall Street Journal reports, a third of Americans pay no taxes at all.

This is scary - Socialism on the march -
AP writers Harry Dunphy and Tom Raum report:
U.S. lawmakers urged quick action by the Bush administration on measures to make direct purchases of bank stock to help unlock lending.
This is America isn't it with government molded by the people and for the people, but one that has demonstrated over and over they suck at business - Heck can they balance a check book yet?

The
New York Times continues it's sell out for Obama -
"
Senator Biden did well, avoiding one of his own infamous gaffes, while showing a clear grasp of the big picture and the details. He left Ms. Palin way behind on most issues, especially foreign policy and national security, where she just seemed lost. It was in those moments that her lack of experience"
...Where they watching the same debate.
Neither did great and certainly never "outshined" the other, like the NYT would have us believe.

I read "NEW YORK - President Bush sought to assure anxious world leaders on Monday that the United States is taking "bold, aggressive, decisive action"" in my RSS feeds this morning...and thought, "bold aggressive, and stupid".
Have the lost the concept of "free market" an idea that has been the envy of the world?
The bright side - We don't have to think before making financial decisions anymore, the government will bail us out!

New
Palm device available in Europe...
---Mobile post with hblogger---
"Are they going to take my Blackberry?"
yelled a Lehman employee.... Blackberry's market share will be dwindling with 29,000 Lehman Brother's employees.
Hit tip:

By the way, I ain't a big McCain guy; however the alternative is...well communism? At the very least, the other guy is anti everything American, like freedom.

Looks like McCain
lost Richard Cohen's vote - Do you really care? I am sick of media types, liberal or conservative, thinking they have so much power... Face it, readership is down, people are going to other sources, and no one who thinks for themselves really care what they think - Face it MSM ain't got the juice it once had!

I found this interesting - Barack Obama received the
second highest donation amount from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

Now that I have tested this mobile utility, I just may post more...
I know when I was real active posting (2004) it was mainly political stuff and opinions, but I really got sick of some of that - So if I do get started going again it will have some opinions and some tech and some sports. None of which will be to interesting, but I may have fun and that is what is important ain't it.

I am giving Keytoss a try and liking it better than iGoogle right now... You can register and personalize here. Give it a test drive.
Does anyone other than I find the current rhetoric over the Georgian "war"...or conflict, baffling. Many people, including me, knew Russia was not done - In fact, many intelligent people (those on the left will say they are ignorant), have warned of action like this for years - YES, before W took office. ---It is not President Bush's fault; however, if you believe he is to blame please e-mail me. I got some really good stuff to sale and your elevator skips a floor or two---
Seriously, what better time for Russia to pull this, to flex their muscle? America is in an election season, the Olympics are going on, and America is talking of pulling troops out of Iraq.
Do you understand "pulling troops" - As we replenish our "stateside" force we will be capable to quickly respond to any world incident...So would you wait till your enemy, or your exact opposite, was at full strength to strike? I doubt it.
Are you getting the picture yet? Should you really be surprised? Should any of us "really" be surprised?
Of course, you may be surprised if you truly believe America is at fault, believe that America is the cause of all things bad, or believe that America owes anyone... For the record American owes no country a thing.
