I thought all the environmentalist wanted me driving a "
hydrogen" car - Are you telling me it is just as volatile as fossil fuel? Safer for the planet? Maybe yes, just not us humans - An inconvenient truth:-)
Hydrogen Leak in Connecticut Forces Dozens From Homes MIDDLEBURY, Conn. — Dozens of homes were evacuated here early Tuesday after a tractor-trailer ran off the shoulder on Interstate 84, tumbled down an embankment and began leaking highly volatile hydrogen gas.

Well the city was stupid - Simple as that. But Ms Abileah really should listen to herself, or maybe she is a Berkley grad, which would explain a bunch! Let's look at the excerpt below.
Berkeley under fire for stance on Marines - Los Angeles Times "We're not looking for a fight, and we expect the police to be there to help keep the peace," Rae Abileah, a national organizer for Code Pink, said about the group's vigil. "The right-wing groups are trying to make this into an issue of whether you are for or against the Marines. It's not about that. It's about the war in Iraq and the deceitful tactics by military recruiters."
Let's see, she want us to believe it is not about being "for or against the Marines" - Those deceitful people! Well I am convinced (
NOT!) how 'bout you?

May be dating myself but I enjoyed many of Mr. Scheider's movies (Jaws, Blue Thunder, etc.) - Our prayers are with his family.
Jaws Star Roy Scheider DiesThe actor, twice nominated for an Oscar but perhaps best known for uttering "You're gonna need a bigger boat" in Jaws, died Sunday night at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences hospital in Little Rock. He was 75.
Got my X-box back that ended up with the "
red ring of death", so life is getting better... Well there is that election year thing going on so maybe not "a lot better". I will let you know how the repaired X-box goes.
Look, I have my problems with some of President Bush's decision's, mainly the lack of conservative domestic policy - Not to Mention attempting to include liberals in on the "domestic policies" like it will accomplish anything! However, if the President or Vice President are "dumb and evil" as Mr Rutten would want you to believe - Why would there be a need to
lie about what either said?
Well I guess the MSM still believe they are
running against Bush in this years election.
Tim Rutten lied - Period!Meanwhile, in another part of the city, Vice President Dick Cheney was addressing the meat-eaters at the Conservative Political Action Conference. He told them that he was glad the administration had tortured people and that he'd do it again: "Would I support those same decisions again today? You're damn right I would."
Let's look at what VP Cheeny actually said by looking at the
transcript:The United States is a country that takes human rights seriously. We do not torture -- it's against our laws and against our values.
[...]
From the very morning our nation was attacked on 9/11, the President of the United States has had to make some immensely enormous decisions. Every day he faces responsibilities that others would pale before. I've been there with him. I've seen him make the tough calls, and then weather the criticism and take the hits. President Bush has been tough and courageous. He's made the right decisions for the right reasons, and he always reflects the best values of the American people. I've been proud to stand by him and by the decisions he's made. And I would support those same -- and would I support those same decisions again today? You're damn right I would.
Not quite what Mr. Rutten reported is it? Go figure!

...even better a white Republican? Let me see - The Church would be under attack and it's tax exempt status in question. Further, the candidate would be ridiculed daily for "talking to God". Amazing, simply amazing!
Obama Takes on Question of FaithOne piece features photos of Obama praying with the words "COMMITTED CHRISTIAN" in large letters across the middle. It says Obama will be a president "guided by his Christian faith" and includes a quote from him saying, "I believe in the power of prayer."
Letter from Xbox Live General ManagerWonder what they are willing to give us now - How 'bout a refund! By the way, Xbox Live status page still says "up and running" and Clinton "didn't have sex with that woman"...must be in the definition.
Three Texas residents filed a lawsuit Friday on behalf of themselves and others who have had trouble connecting to Xbox Live in recent weeks.
This has really started to frustrate me...and we actually pay for this abuse!

I hope all have a Merry Christmas and remember
He is the reason for the season.
Let's see - since taking power the Democrats have accomplished what? Not one thing they "promised" or "claimed the American people wanted"; however, it seems they are getting more time off! Wasn't President Bush's "alleged" time off a big deal in the 2004 election? On never mind, just another double standard - A standard where democrats are concerned!
Democrats Plan a Shorter Workweek - New York TimesWASHINGTON, Oct. 26 — Shortly after winning a majority last year, Democrats triumphantly declared that they would put Congress back to work, promising an “end to the two-day workweek.” And indeed, the House has clocked more time in Washington this year than in any other session since 1995, when Republicans, newly in control, sought to make a similar point.
But 10 months into the session, with their legislative agenda often in gridlock with the Bush administration and a big election year looming, the Democrats are now planning a lighter schedule when the 110th Congress begins its second year in mid-January.
The House majority leader, Representative Steny H. Hoyer of Maryland, told fellow Democrats this week that the House would not be in session next year on Fridays, except in June for work on appropriations bills.

Well you cannot be picky when it comes to "good news" about Iraq being reported by MSM. Read this article for yourself - There is "good news"; however, the writers do find some quotes to support the usual pessimistic opinion.
Al-Qaeda In Iraq Reported CrippledThe U.S. military believes it has dealt devastating and perhaps irreversible blows to al-Qaeda in Iraq in recent months, leading some generals to advocate a declaration of victory over the group, which the Bush administration has long described as the most lethal U.S. adversary in Iraq.
[...]
"AQI is definitely taking some hits," the official said. "There is definite progress, and that is undeniable good news. But what we don't know is how long it will last . . . and whether it's sustainable. . . . They have withstood withering pressure for a long period of time." Three months, he said, is not long enough to consider a trend sustainable.
Would you classify this as a defeat? Democrats approving that which they condemned when it was politically advantageous to... Of course, the politically blind will not..."blind leading the blind!"
Democrats Seem Ready to Extend Wiretap Powers Two months after insisting that they would roll back broad eavesdropping powers won by the Bush administration, Democrats in Congress appear ready to make concessions that could extend some crucial powers given to the National Security Agency

Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter on Wednesday denounced Vice President Dick Cheney as a "disaster"
StoryA "disaster" accusing another of being...he is delusional. Agree or disagree with Cheney you have to admit it is comical to here Jimmy Carter making this accusation - Heck it probably elevates Cheney to many!

Yes, I got it the first day, and in my humble opinion it was worth the"hype". So far, I believe it better then Halo 2; however, I have not decided if it is as good as Halo 1... Sure the graphics are better and...but, will it mean as much to the "video game" industry and "elderly" players like myself - Is
3 as "ground breaking" as the
1? I haven't decided, but I am enjoying it - Regression at it's funnest!
From Iraq Katie Couric has some interesting things to say -
He took me to Fallujah, which really he believes is a crowning achievement for U.S. forces in Iraq and a role model if you will...
[...]
...and now Fallujah is relatively calm, reconstruction efforts are under way, and as I said, it is really being considered a crowning achievement.

Well I was surprised, you know, after I went to Eastern Baghad. I was taken to the Allawi market which is near Haifa street which was the scene of that very bloody gun battle back in January and you know this market seemed to be thriving and there were a lot of people out and about. A lot of family owned businesses and vegetable stalls and so you do see signs of life that seem to be normal.
Then there is the "appology" for anything she says that might seem positive!
Of course that’s what the U.S. military wants me to see so you have to keep that in mind as well.

Craig quits over sex scandalBOISE, Idaho (Reuters) - Republican Sen. Larry Craig of Idaho, caught in a sex scandal that quickly lost him the support of his party after his arrest in a men's toilet, said on Saturday he would resign from the U.S. Senate.
But - Let's look at the others that need to go, that need to be "thrown under the bus"!

Well for me the college football season started last night and to my dismay "the Vols" lost their first one; however, California didn't look like the team that came to Knoxville last year. Tennessee gave up fourteen points on "non-offensive" plays, which happened to be exactly what they lost by...
I cannot blame those fourteen points on their loss, but I can say, the Vol defense has me worried about out the season. Well let's hope for the best.

Was it a success or wasn't it? That is the question, and much like the subject "Global Warming" no one seems to agree.
We have this head line - "Two Billion", sounds like a success doesn't it?
Two billion watch Live Earth concertsThen there is the "Live Earth fails...", sounds like it wasn't as success doesn't it?
Live Earth fails to pack large-scale punchBut then we get to the main reason for the even and for Gore's participation...
Al Gore slams global warming doubters at Live Earth"Some who don't understand what is now at stake tried to stop this event on the Mall," the former Democratic presidential candidate said in a thinly veiled hit on members of President George W. Bush's Republican party.
"But here we are," he said as an image of a bright Earth shined behind him. "And it wasn't the cavalry who came to our rescue, it was the American Indian."
A few hundred spectators turned out for the concert, which began at 10:30 am
It was a political statement, that is it, I am unimpressed with Gore's quest for a legacy and/or a possible why back to the political arena. By the way let's not overlook the fact that the Washington sight managed to gather a "few" hundred - whoopee!
As for me - I am a what is affectionately called a Global Warming "denier"; however, I choose to spend my time watching the "carbon rich" Pepsi 400 which I am sure was much more exciting - Resulting in a "photo finish"!
I guess actually spying on Americans, unlike the "domestic spying" accusation, is OK. Well maybe it just because it is in association with a Clinton - So it's OK!
Clinton Pollster Sued Over E-MailsHillary Rodham Clinton's chief strategist is being accused of illegal eavesdropping in a civil lawsuit that alleges he and his polling firm monitored the personal e-mails of a former associate who started a rival company.

I thought the problem was supposed to be the poor, misguided, and unfairly treated that were upset with the west - No, the hate was based on their religion only.
