What Scares Me!

What really scares me is that Americans, Americans that are supposed to be intelligent believe that killing Bin Laden solves everything. Now had Bin Laden died (or been killed) many years ago, there maybe something to this. Nevertheless, for comparison sake; do you really believe had Hitler been killed AFTER WWII started it would have changed very much – you believe that Goring, Keitel, Jodi, Ness, etc. would have just given up?

Why I am so much more outspoken this election cycle is because liberals would prefer to demonize America then to admit real evil is out there. You hear:
  1. American brought this on ourselves.
  2. We must understand why the Islamic extremist hate us
  3. We should have just ignored them and they would have left us alone (tried by Clinton to no avail)
The classic is that we should not worry about the world and take care of ourselves first. Now they are screaming because we are not prepared to help the Sudan – interestingly this goes right in to the heart of their earlier complaints “we should not worry about the world”. Of course, being a conservative I am supposed to be too stupid to see this. Let’s wave a magic wand and stop Iraq and go into Sudan; who are we fighting now, Islamic extremist! Why did Clinton send US to fight in Somalia and Bosnia? We had the wondrous opportunity to see Islamic extremism and Communistic extremism within miles of each other during the Clinton years. We fought and left, nonvictoriously, and terrorist attacks continued!

The death of Bin Laden will not be the end for terrorist and in fact making him ineffective either by eliminating his ability to move and plan or preferably placing him in jail is the best outcome possible. There are other Bin Laden(s) out their simply waiting for their chance. We must defeat terrorism in their homeland – if allowed to invoke havoc and terror on American soil the terrorist have won their objective.

If the majority of Americans do not see that the terrorist dream of our withdraw back into our pre 9/11 shell giving them the opportunity to bring the terror over the ocean unchecked I fear for our future!

Kerry Proves He Lied

John Kerry in and interview with Tom Brokaw admits that he actually has not released all his military records to the public. Kerry has always stated that his complete military record is on his website; however he admitted to Tom Brokaw on October 28th is complete military record is not public.
Brokaw: Someone has analyzed the President's military aptitude tests and yours, and concluded that he has a higher IQ than you do.
Kerry: That's great. More power. I don't know how they've done it, because my record is not public. So I don't know where you're getting that from.

European Viewpoint

Thanks to Drink This for bringing this Gerard Baker article to my attention. Mr. Baker is a columnist for Times Online (UK) and has an interesting opinion that might shock many that believe all of Europe is against President Bush. Some excerpts:
But for all this, if I had a vote on Tuesday I would be voting to re-elect President Bush.

It is partly Mr Bush’s character. The perils of war really do demand leadership and moral clarity. It is partly, to be honest, the quality of his opponent….
[…]
But above all, in this oppositional sort of age, when it is often easier to be defined by what one is against rather than what one is for, I have to say it is his enemies who most justify Mr Bush’s re-election. (Read here)
I have attempted to make this point on several occasions, but Mr. Baker does a much better job and is really worth reading.

More on The Media – Part 2

I commented earlier that the media was misreporting poll data and asked if this was bias or and attempt to sway the election. Jim Geraghty has and article in National Review Online that further elaborates this “misreporting” of election polls. Maybe it is as simple as being a better cliffhanger for the news organizations. Geraghty’s views are interesting and worth reading as he quotes a Republican operative; although I am optimistic not as much as Geraghty’s “Obi-Wan Kenobi”. Article excerpts:
Gallup had Bush ahead by eight, ABC had Bush ahead by five, Fox had Bush ahead by seven, Time had Bush ahead by five, Battleground had Bush ahead by four, he was ahead in the ABC/Washington Post tracking poll by five points or so much of the week... "And they still wrote that the race is tied!"
[…]
Does that sound like the America you know, Jim? In 1952, Harry Truman hadn't been aggressive enough in fighting the Korean War; the American people felt he was holding MacArthur back; and they were so angry with Truman that he didn't run. They had a choice between Adlai Stevenson or World War II hero Dwight Eisenhower. They picked Eisenhower — because they wanted to win the war — instead of the guy who could negotiate it.

In 1972, the last wartime election, Americans had a choice between the candidate of the peace movement, Mr. George "Come home, America" McGovern, and Richard Nixon. Nixon won in a landslide.

In 1984, America again had a clear choice. On one hand, there was Walter Mondale: the embodiment of the Democratic foreign-policy establishment, Jimmy Carter's vice president — the man who was determined to learn how to coexist with the Soviet Union. On the other hand, they had the policies of Ronald Reagan, who was seeking to defeat the Soviets through strength. Again, they chose the fighter in a landslide.

October Surprise – Part 3

(via Michelle Malkin)
Michelle Malkin has a great post (Moscow and The Missing Cache) where she introduces Bill Gertz’s latest Washington Times article. Article excerpts:
Russian special forces troops moved many of Saddam Hussein's weapons and related goods out of Iraq and into Syria in the weeks before the March 2003 U.S. military operation, The Washington Times has learned.

John A. Shaw, the deputy undersecretary of defense for international technology security, said in an interview that he believes the Russian troops, working with Iraqi intelligence, "almost certainly" removed the high-explosive material that went missing from the Al-Qaqaa facility, south of Baghdad.

"The Russians brought in, just before the war got started, a whole series of military units," Mr. Shaw said. "Their main job was to shred all evidence of any of the contractual arrangements they had with the Iraqis. The others were transportation units." (Read here)
I believe this further magnifies Mr. Kerry and the democrats jumping the gun in desperation without having the facts. Of course, their inability to get all the facts before making accusations will not be mentioned in the MSM since President Bush is held to a higher standard; which is understandable since he continually demonstrates meeting higher standards. Michelle goes into further detail and has more great links (Read here)

Democratic Party Flip-Flops

(via INDC Journal)
INDC Journal has a great viewpoint on the NY Times story true and accurate or not (NOT). Democrats have been saying Saddam was not a threat with over 1 million tons of munitions and now the Democrats say 380 tons has the potential of being the next 9/11. Which is it a threat or not? Of course the Democrats support Kerry the whole party "flip-flops”.
Individuals that were against the war to disarm Saddam Hussein are suddenly terrified over the fate of 380 of the over 1 million tons (0.03%) of conventional explosives that are currently estimated to exist in Iraq. The pointed US effort that has thus far destroyed 400,000 tons of munitions, yet failed to immediately account for 380, somehow respresents an unacceptable US failure and subsequent terrorist risk to the IAEA, NY Times and other overt critics of the Bush Administration. October Surprise – Part 2

(via Urban Republican)
Urban Republican found a Fox News story dated April 4, 2003 that indicates UN inspectors searched the Qa Qaa complex on March 8, and found nothing.
U.N. weapons inspectors went repeatedly to the vast al Qa Qaa complex -- most recently on March 8 -- but found nothing during spot visits to some of the 1,100 buildings at the site 25 miles south of Baghdad. (Read here)
In Democrat October Surprise – Wrong I pointed to an NBC report (April 10, 2003) that stated these weapons were not there when checked by the 101st Airborne. However, this NBC reporter is backing off this earlier claim about the inspection, guess maybe they were scolded for giving Bush support. It is amazing to me that no reporter seems to have a clue to how much space 380 tons of munitions would occupy; a half hearted search would have turned them up.

I unlike the MSM and Kerry do not believe the 101st performed a “half hearted” search of a munitions depot nor would any true soldier believe that possible. They might, based on the current situation, not have done a thorough search but certainly not a “half hearted” one, and as previous stated the shear volume we are discussing would result in a blind man tripping over something.

Doesn’t Kerry and company see that they are actually degrading our military, which they say they “strongly support”, in their no holds barred charge for the White House. Kerry and democrats could care less about how our over all military is perceived but it is OK in their minds because the “ends justifies the means” – Kerry you are not, have never been, nor will ever be supportive of the US Military; which scares me to death!

I Worry About France Too

John Kerry wants the United States to worry about France and Europe in our War on Terror. Well there was a story in the New York Times last Friday that has me worried, but not the way Kerry and the democrats expect.
France's antiterrorist police on Friday identified a young Frenchman killed fighting the United States in Iraq, the first confirmed case of what is believed to be a growing stream of Muslims heading from Europe to fight what they regard as a new holy war. (Read here)

Democrat October Surprise – Wrong

Well the liberals and MSM are really excited about the NEW news of missing explosives. This "shocking revelation" is being touted by Kerry, Edwards and was reported in the New York Times.
Oct. 24 - The Iraqi interim government has warned the United States and international nuclear inspectors that nearly 380 tons of powerful conventional explosives - used to demolish buildings, make missile warheads and detonate nuclear weapons - are missing from one of Iraq's most sensitive former military installations.
The New York Times, Edwards and Kerry fail to mention that this is old news.
NBC News: Miklaszewski: “April 10, 2003, only three weeks into the war, NBC News was embedded with troops from the Army's 101st Airborne as they temporarily take over the Al Qakaa weapons installation south of Baghdad. But these troops never found the nearly 380 tons of some of the most powerful conventional explosives…. (Read more)
It is amazing the depths they will go to scare the American people including regurgitating old news! This has soundly reviewed throughout the blogsphere but I wanted to mention it.

Kerry Caught Lying AGAIN!

The Washington Times (Joel Mowbray) reports, news flash, Kerry lied about meeting with UN Security Council Members in October 2002. Read the story here.

Will this have any effect what so ever with the voting public? I matters to me that John Kerry is a blatant liar and might be my President; however, I have already made up my mind and the liberals that hurl pies at Ann Coulter will not change theirs. It is a known fact Kerry Lies just at it was a known fact Bill Clinton lied and NO ONE on the left cared or cares!

My belief is that it will not get much play in the MSM. I have never seen a large movement in numbers on anything else that has been proven a lie or flip-flop. Unfortunately, I believe that for many voters in America this election is coming down to “they hate Bush or they don’t”, as ridiculous as it sounds!

Regrettably, this says something about our ethics going forward doesn’t it!

Vicious Liberal Attacks

Liberal “attack dog” (Lawrence O’Donnell) lost it on MSNBC’s Scarborough Country repeatedly calling John O’Neil (author Unfit for Command) a “liar” and a “creep” Michelle Malkin and INDC Journal have great views and I believe everyone should take a gander at what they have to say – both have excerpts and links to the video…. Don’t they (the Libs) realize that attacks as this does nothing but fuel the fire I hope consumes their electoral chances?

Iraq – Kerry’s Out of Touch!

I posted an earlier story Voting in Afghanistan pointing out the wonderful news. The Kerry campaign has made it a point to avoid discussing this break through unless they can find a flaw. Forget the fact the US, the symbol of Democracy throughout the world, has had their electoral problems over the years; is Kerry calling the United States of America a failure too?

Now, pleasant surprise, Stephen E. Moore has a commentary in the LA Times. In the commentary Mr. Moore states:

John Kerry is playing the prophet of doom in the most important foreign policy initiative of our generation. In Pennsylvania, Kerry described Iraq as "the wrong war, wrong place, wrong time." In New York, he opined that murderous cleric Muqtada Sadr "holds more sway in suburbs of Baghdad than Prime Minister [Iyad] Allawi." In Columbus, Ohio, the senator claimed to have a more accurate perspective on the situation in Iraq than did the interim prime minister, whose favorability rating of 73% among Iraqis, it's worth noting, is higher than Kerry's 48% favorability rating among Americans in the latest polls. Kerry, of course, has never set foot in Iraq.
[…]
Iraqis consistently say in nationwide polls that the situation in their country is improving. In polls over the course of the summer, for example, more than half of Iraqis said their country was on the right track. The vast majority of Iraqis — 72% — see the same benefits in democracy as Americans do: the hope for peace, stability and a better life. Most polls show that 75% of Iraqis want to vote for their leaders rather than have clerics appoint them.

More on The Media

Media bias?
The MSNBC website indicates that Kerry leads nationally in the polls.
Kerry 48%
Bush 45%

However, I have seen all major polls and Bush has an average lead of 2.9%. The NBC poll dated 10/18 shows the race dead even and Gallup as of 10/16 has Bush ahead by 8 points. My question; where does MSNBC get their data and is it as simple as “they are lying”? Not one of the latest polls had Kerry leading; in fact, all but two have Bush leading and the two are deadlocked.

UPDATE: After I posted newer polls were released; however, Bush still has and average lead of 2.6% and there is one (AP-Ipsos) that has Kerry with a 3 point lead. AP-Ipsos is still the only one that has Kerry leading and the numbers are not 48% - 45%; so where is MSNBC getting their numbers?

J. Kerry I Served the United States of America!

Mr. Kerry I did not "volunteer” to defend the United Nations; my fellow soldiers (and veterans) and I “joined” the military to defend our great nations. I am referring to your 1994 statement:
If you mean dying in the course of the United Nations effort, yes, it is worth that. If you mean dying American troops unilaterally going in with some false presumption that we can affect the outcome, the answer is unequivocally no.

This once again demonstrates your inability to be America’s Commander-In-Chief! Simply put “that dog want hunt”! The above statement indicates that America’s interest, in your mind, will always be incorrect unless it passes “your global test”; then in your double talk you say you want need “permission” to defend the US. If it walks like a duck, talks like a duck, it’s a duck; or in this case a “fraud”.

Under President Clinton military members for the FIRST time in history served under a supreme command that was someone other than a United States’ general. I while on active duty had issues with this; however, served my Commander-In-Chief. This fact is one of several reasons I choose to end my career early; however for many of my fellow soldiers, several better than I, this was the ONLY reason they terminated their career. I see you are really in touch with our “all volunteer military”.

By the way, I personally am waiting to here your plan to provide resources and personnel for the two full divisions you will add without attempting to reinstitute the draft.

Brothers in Arms

(via Urban Republican)

The unit that refused to go on their mission citing inadequate equipment has caused an officer to be relieved of command. He was due to a lack of confidence by the troops and he should be. I am hoping there are repercussions for the soldiers as well so that we don't spread that this behavior is okay. The problem isn't that they were right or wrong but that they not only disobeyed orders but left their fellow soldiers doing this on their own. The mission was carried out by other members of the unit and no harm came to them. The one soldier whose wife was interviewed said it just isn't safe.

I will add something. A war zone is dangerous, period! You are there, voluntarily, to accomplish a mission – the complete mission! As a soldier, you are an integral part of the complete force. Sit-in(s) and strikes are not and should not be tolerated within the military! If not for the current election atmosphere these troops would never considered “disobeying an order”, in my opinion!

From personal experience, in combat, there are never idea circumstances that will ensure you and your fellow soldier’s safety; you depend on your training and your fellow soldiers. These soldiers have now proven their undependable and must be held to the standards set for all in uniform, The Uniform Code of Military Justice! At a minimum there must be a court martial and allow the members to decided!

Is Teresa an Elitist?

Mrs. Heinz or Kerry (which is it?) made condescending statements about First Lady Laura Bush:

Well, you know, I don't know Laura Bush. But she seems to be calm, and she has a sparkle in her eye, which is good. But I don't know that she's ever had a real job — I mean, since she's been grown up. So her experience and her validation comes from important things, but different things.
Of course, we all know this is incorrect. If I had to compare the intelligence of a teacher and librarian (Laura Bush) to the apparent memory of Mrs. Kerry I have to go with Laura Bush!

Mrs. Kerry stepped in it again with America’s mothers with the last six words in her apology “her important work in the past”. America’s stay-at-home-moms, who say they work as hard as anyone does outside the home, where upset.

Fox & Friends said they had 16 phones lines and could not find a single caller who didn’t take offense at Mrs. Kerry’s statement.

"Draft" Fear Mongering Continued!

The Democrats continue to feed the rumor and are unchecked by MSM (Main Stream Media). Candidate Kerry once again feeds the “Draft Rumor” and once again MSM outlets simply report the “scare tactic” and don’t question him. Kerry makes blanket statements like:

With George Bush, the plan for Iraq is more of the same and the great potential of the draft.
In my opinion, MSM outlets “imply” that President Bush lied when he stated:

We’re not going to have a draft period.
This is repressible in my opinion – where are the questions:
Mr. Kerry in your first debate you stated:

That's why, in my plan, I add two active duty divisions to the United States Army, not for Iraq, but for our general demands across the globe.
How do plan to obtain the resources needed for two FULL divisions?

Seeing how only Democrats have sponsored “Draft Bills” as I and others have stated I believe we know the answer to this questions. I simply cannot believe MSM outlets continue to fuel this “fear mongering” and their failure to question Kerry only screams their bias view.
