They Better Hope We Don't Win -THREAT

Senior Kerry advisor Chad Clanton issued a threat to The Sinclair Group on Fox News’ Dayside with Linda Vester. Mr. Clanton while discussing “Stolen Honor” and anti-Kerry documentary that Sinclair is planning to air on it’s channels stated that “They better hope we don’t win”. No matter how you look at it this is a threat; let’s imagine what would have happened if anyone associated with Bush had said anything like that about Michael Moore’s alleged docudrama.

Stolen Honor” features ex-POW(s) that will share their experiences and their views of Kerry’s post war statements. These men are heroes and have as much right to express their opinion as George Soros, Michael Moore, and any other pro-Kerry individuals.

If the Kerry campaign’s attack on the Swiftboat Vets did not prove their arrogance the current opposition (read) to “Stolen Honor” and this statement “They better hope we don’t win” truly demonstrates it!

Where is The Outrage?

On September 1, 2004 I posted “More Media Bias – No Christian Republicans only Democrats Allowed”. Here we go again! Where is the media outcry the invocation of the “separation of church and state” when a democrat campaigns in a church? Could you imagine if Bush stepped foot into a church and made a campaign speech? Yesterday October 10th Kerry did exactly that in Florida!

For every Goliath, God has a David. For every Calvary's cross, God has a Christ Jesus. To bring our country out of despair, discouragement, despondency and disgust, God has a John Kerry.-Pastor Gaston E. Smith

MIAMI — Democratic presidential nominee Sen. John Kerry and civil rights activist the Rev. Jesse Jackson told black voters at a church here yesterday that President Bush's support for a constitutional amendment against homosexual "marriage" shouldn't be enough to earn their vote. Mr. Kerry attended Mass at a Catholic church in North Miami, and then spoke during services at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Miami , as he and several black Democratic leaders tried to rally black voters.

MIAMI -- In dual church visits Sunday, Sen. John Kerry stoked the black vote in advance of Election Day, evoking the civil rights movement and declaring, "We have an unfinished march in this nation, we have an unfinished dream."

Update - Terrorism a Nuisance (Rudy Giuliani)

As a follow-up to my post Terrorism is Simply a Nuisance:
For some time, and including when I spoke at the Republican Convention, I’ve wondered exactly what John Kerry’s approach would be to terrorism and I’ve wondered whether he had the conviction, the determination, and the focus, and the correct worldview to conduct a successful war against terrorism. And his quotations in the New York Times yesterday make it clear that he lacks that kind of committed view of the world. In fact, his comments are kind of extraordinary, particularly since he thinks we used to before September 11 live in a relatively safe world. He says we have to get back to the place we were, where terrorists are not the focus of our lives, but they’re a nuisance.

Al-Sadr Fighters Handing Over Weapons

USA Today and FoxNews have stories about Shiite fighters turning in their weapons. This is great news and just another sign of progress in Iraq. I feel that this is a good sign and know it is a great morale boost for our military men and women.

My concern is how the democrats and anti-Bush crowd will spin the story. I am sure they are looking for away without regard for military morale, which has never been a concern of John Kerry demonstrated by his statement "Wrong War at Wrong Time".

Union Thugs Target Republicans

Last week, in Orlando, Fla., approximately 60 union protestors stormed and ransacked the local Bush-Cheney headquarters causing considerable damage and injuring one campaign staffer, who suffered a broken wrist.
Remember these Unions support John Kerry. Hey John is this "just a nuisance" because I consider this terriorist tatics! I believe John Kerry needs to make a public statement against these individuals, will he?

Alert – Terrorism is Simply a Nuisance

In an interview with New York Times Magazine John Kerry compares terrorism to prostitution, gambling, and organized crime. Yes, Mr. Kerry these are criminal activities but have any claimed 3,000 American lives in a matter of minutes? This is simply ludicrous and an example of the John Kerry’s lack of understanding the situation.

Kerry states that September 11, 2001 “didn’t change me much at all” and that we need to return to the days when terrorism was “just a nuisance”.

Kerry quote:
As a former law-enforcement person, I know we're never going to end prostitution. We're never going to end illegal gambling. But we're going to reduce it, organized crime, to a level where it isn't on the rise -- it isn't threatening people's lives every day, and fundamentally, it's something that you continue to fight, but it's not threatening the fabric of your life.
John Kerry flip-flop:
Mr. Kerry didn’t you say “I will win the War on Terror” aren’t you saying here we can’t (see above)?

We do need a multifaceted war on terror but that war cannot be done by handling things as a police matter on a case by case basis. We need to carefully pick our targets based on GOOD intelligence and go where we need to in order to defend our country. Yes we also need diplomacy. Iran and North Korea are two examples of this and when people point to them and say they are more dangerous than Iraq that is true. However, there were not over 14 resolutions out there in the last 12 years for either country as there was in Iraq.

Afghan Election Good News! (Update)

On Saturday I posted “Voting in Afghanistan” which pointed out that there are was controversy. That controversy is subsiding per this Washington Post story.
Controversy clouding Afghanistan's historic first presidential election eased Sunday when several major opposition candidates backed off from assertions that voter fraud and errors at polling places had rendered Saturday's vote meaningless and illegitimate.
[…]
Robert Barry, who headed the European delegation monitoring the election, said the opposition candidates' demands to nullify the vote were "unjustified"

UPDATE: (via INDC Journal)
Once again, INDC Journal is much more informative on this and I felt anyone that was interested in this story should definitely visit their latest post on it.

Australia Still Supports War

One of our biggest allies in the War on Terror, Australia has reelected John Howard Prime Minister. PM John Howard supports the War on Terror and the President of the United States; here are some PM John Howard’s quotes:
The reality is that the transition period has been and will continue to be difficult, more difficult than we might have hoped.

Inevitably the question is asked -- when can our forces leave Iraq? The answer can only be when the jobs assigned to respective force elements have been completed. It's impossible to be more precise than that.

And I'm more determined than ever that Australia should stay the distance and finish the tasks for which we have taken responsibility.
Of course, PM Howard’s opposition attempted to use the War on Terror and Iraq particularly against him (read more). The good news for US republicans is that it did not work; not only was the election not as close as predicted Howard actually increased his majority and could win the Australian senate.

Now it is time of us “Yanks” to get his back!

Voting in Afghanistan – Wonderful

(via INDC Journal)

I picked the below up from INDC Journal; this is wonderful news and to every solider, airmen, marine, and seamen that made this day possible; Thank you and you should be proud because you have done your country proud!

Another ally plants an important seed of Democracy in the Muslim World:

AFTER ENDURING Soviet occupation, civil war and rule by a medieval-minded Islamic militia, millions of Afghans will go to polling stations today for the first free election in their country's history. This is an extraordinary achievement, the more so because it will occur in spite of concerted efforts by the Taliban militia and its al Qaeda allies to prevent it. Thanks in part to U.S., NATO and Afghan forces and in part to the extraordinary determination of Afghan citizens to launch their democracy, the enemy campaign failed: the turnout percentage for the presidential vote may rival that of the U.S. presidential election. Sixteen candidates are challenging the current president, Hamid Karzai, and though he is expected to win, the outcome is neither fixed nor assured. In that respect alone, the Afghan election is unlike any ever held in most of the Muslim world.

Voting irregularities are causing protests among 15 of the 18 Afgan candidates. Regardless, the Afghani people have displayed a will for Democracy - the ball is rolling downhill:
Despite the controversy, reports from the ground by BBC correspondents spread across Afghanistan suggest that the issue has had little impact among voters.

Many Afghans are keen that the international community appreciate just what a historic day it has been for this country.

"It is amazing, as an Afghan, to see the turnout, see how many people have come out to cast their votes - especially as it was an exercise that was new to them," says Shoaib Sharifi, a senior Afghan journalist.

It's a view that many voters concurred with.

"This is a country that has suffered greatly over the years," said Abdul Mateen, a Pashtun taxi driver, after casting his vote in the city's diplomatic district.

"To be able to cast my vote and participate in the future of my country - this is a dream to be cherished."
To every American (pro Kerry supporter) that will use the above article to demonstrate something negative; please go back and learn (although it is not taught in our schools anymore) about our history say 1776 to the present; did we have any election controversies and I know you are not insinuating that we are a failure for democracy!

Debate 2 - Verdict

I watched this entire debate, this time, and have decided I like this format. Debate 1’s format might be good for shorter debates but it got boring very quick. However, many will say that I liked this format because President Bush did much better.

Unlike the first debate, the President appeared energetic not having to strain to fill his allotted time. I noticed Kerry jumped up prompting the moderator to have a one-minute “elaboration”, which of course was suppose to be at the moderator’s discretion; this did not intimidate the President he too took charge of the moderator.

Kerry’s appearance seemed fine to me; however, in this format he could not use his “matter of factness” from behind a podium making the facade appear less genuine. He did not falter and stuck to his story (the current one anyway). Kerry did beat around the bush on a few issues like abortion, which is understandable since the “battleground states” seem to be pro-life and he wanted to avoid that bombshell; reminiscent of Clinton’s ability to avoid big set backs even when it appeared he was “down and out”.

President Bush missed some opportunities to land some blows. For example, when Kerry touted the Air Force General from the Persian Gulf War; Bush could have said, “he did do a good job but would not have had the opportunity if you had gotten your way, you did vote against that war didn’t you”? The best point all night, in my opinion, one that Bush missed in debate1, was when Kerry criticized not providing adequate equipment to our forces and Bush pointed out Kerry voted against the 87 billion dollar bill. Further, I applaud the fact that the campaign has finally gotten Kerry’s 20-year senate record to the Nation “you can run but you can’t hide”!

I give President Bush the nod in this one although not by much. Kerry did not get flustered except maybe about the 87 billion “I voted for it before I voted against” zinger. I believe Kerry is too good a speaker to beat himself by saying something stupid (sound bite material) in these debates.

With this said, I am sure as far the MSM (Main Stream Media) goes Kerry will be a big winner in this debate. Already, he was a winner before the debate even finished as I stated in my previous post “MSNBC Debate Poll”.

MSNBC's Debate Poll??????

I will be posting my thoughts on Debate #2 later tonight. I have an observation about the MSNBC debate poll. While watching the debate on the internet and during the last question I went to MSNBC's page; they had a poll already posted, interesting? I decided to vote and already John Kerry was leading with 79% of 89,000+ votes. Since the debate was still going on wouldn't you have to questions these results?

This Should Squash Draft Rumor

(Via Backcountry Conservative)

Between the bias MSM and the democrats, the republicans forced a vote to get the record straight. Interesting results, a 402-2 defeat. Of course, the two (2) were democrats. Please do not forget one of my earlier post “Who’s Draft Is It Anyway” where I point out the only bills in the house and senate are both sponsored by democrats. Where will the spin go now? There is a story on this in the San Francisco Chronicle.

No, it won't go away...Kerry Wrote It?

(Via Poor Robert)
Thomas Lipscomb writes a fascinating article about his clever piece of detective work which demonstrates that John Kerry wrote the after-action report that led to his Bronze Star for an engagement that almost all witnesses claim never involved enemy fire. Lipscomb uncovered a 35-year-old operations order which narrows down the source of the story Kerry denies inventing:

A faded 35-year-old operations order recovered from the Naval Historical Center in Washington bears directly on the ongoing dispute between Sen. John Kerry and the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth about who wrote the key after-action report that ended Kerry's service in Vietnam. The report appears in the official Navy records and is posted on Kerry's presidential campaign Web site.

The report details Kerry's participation in a naval operation on the Bay Hap River on March 13, 1969, in such glowing terms that he was awarded a Purple Heart and a BronzeStar for pulling Special Forces officer James Rassmann out of the water while under heavy enemy fire. This third Purple Heart allowed Kerry to cut short his Vietnam tour after only four months.

According to a Navy communications expert, Chief Petty Officer Troy Jenkins, who has examined the message traffic, the report in question was sent from the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Spencer, Lonsdale's command ship, at 11:20 that night.

Only three of the officers on the mission that day were on the Spencer, John Kerry, Dick Pease and Donald Droz. Droz took the wounded from the mine explosion to be examined and treated at the Spencer, including the third officer, the severely wounded Dick Pease. Since the Spencer had no helipad for the evacuation of the wounded, Droz then had to return to the USS Washtenaw County, stationed about 25 nautical miles away, leaving only Kerry aboard the Spencer at the time the message was sent at 11:20 p.m.

Evil Doesn’t Care What Nationality

(Via Backcountry Conservative)

DUBAI (Reuters) - An Iraqi Islamist group beheaded an Iraqi contractor it said was working for U.S. forces, a video on an Islamist Web site showed Saturday.

The footage from the group, Ansar al-Sunna, showed a militant beheading the man, identified as Iraqi national Barea Nafea Dawoud Ibrahim.

The group said in a statement accompanying the video that Ibrahim was an "apostate" (a person who abandons their faith). It was dated Oct. 2.

"I have set up three telecommunications networks for the Iraqi National Guard. I have been working in Taji since June 2004," a frightened-looking Ibrahim told the camera. He was wearing an access badge issued by the U.S. forces around his neck.

Two men later held him down and one proceeded to behead him, before placing his severed head on top of his body.

"We say to all those who even consider working with the crusader forces that they should repent," the group warned.

The group claiming responsibility for this is the Army of Al Shunnah who has been responsible for other deaths last week. This is a horrific act and demonstrates simply how evil the persons are we are fighting! In my opinion, it reiterates the need to STOP them and to stop them there!

The video is available at Northeast Intelligence Network.

3 Nations Slow Probe - Sound Familiar

The New York Times has a story about three (3) nations sabotaging the Congressional investigation of the United Nations oil-for-food program. Can you guess who some of them were?

Congressional investigators say that France, Russia and China systematically sabotaged the former United Nations oil-for-food program in Iraq by preventing the United States and Britain from investigating whether Saddam Hussein was diverting billions of dollars.

In a briefing paper given yesterday to members of the House subcommittee investigating the program, the investigators said their review of the minutes of a United Nations Security Council subcommittee meeting showed that the three nations "continually refused to support the U.S. and U.K. efforts to maintain the integrity" of the program.

True Struggle For Iraq

Amir Taheri's column in the September 29th New York Post outlines true struggles for Iraqi and outlines some of America’s true enemies. Mr. Taheri’s column is worthy of your time with insightful information on the current issues facing America and Iraq. Here are some excerpts:

It comes, in part, from Americans who want Iraq to fail because they want President Bush to fail. Some 81 books paint the president as the devil incarnate; Bush-bashing is also the theme of three " dozen Hollywood feature films.

Add to this the recent bizarre phrase from French Prime Minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin. The head of the Figaro press group went to see him about the kidnapping of two French journalists in Iraq; Raffarin assured him they would soon be freed, reportedly saying, "The Iraqi insurgents are our best allies."

….Iraq had been liberated by the European Union, we would have none of the hot air that is blown about the war throughout the world. …….. an entity like the European Union could never say boo to a goose, let alone destroy a vicious tyranny.

Mr. Taheri was born in Iran and educated in Tehran, London and Paris. Taheri was member of the Board of Trustees of the Institute for International Political and Economic Studies (IIPES) from 1975 to 1980 and member of the Executive Board of the International Press Institute (IPI) from 1984 to 1992.
