Liberals Dropping Everywhere

Looks like the Canadians are smarter then many gave them credit for... See I told you all all that "hate American" speak coming from up north was a "loud mouth" small percentage -- kinda reminds you of America, doesn't it?

Canadian Liberals face loss after 12 years in power
WINNIPEG, Manitoba (Reuters) - Canadian political leaders on Sunday made one last cross-country dash on the eve of an election expected to oust the ruling Liberals, move Canada to the right and improve ties with the United States. With polls showing a steady lead of 7 to 12 percentage points, the Conservatives sounded increasingly confident, though it looked like they would fall short of a majority in Parliament and have to depend on other parties.

Further Idea for Hollywood

You might try making more movies like this. A good and well made movie that was shunned by the "establishment". Hey, Hollywood get a clue!

Plot Summary for End of the Spear (2006)
"End of the Spear" is the story of Mincayani, a Waorani tribesman from the jungles of Ecuador. When five young missionaries, among them Jim Elliot and Nate Saint, are speared to death by the Waorani in 1956, a series of events unfold to change the lives of not only the slain missionaries' families, but also Mincayani and his people.
Just take a look at these two movies on Google -- one has nine (9) reviews one has sixty-three (63)... Want to speculate why the one was basically shunned by the "Hollywood establishment? Hint: Missionaries, God, etc.

What is a Movie Buff to Do?

I love movies, but have not attended or rented many lately. I have a hint for the movie industry -- instead of cutting production you might try making movies for the majority instead of forcing the minority view down our throat and stop attempting to make a political statement. You are only movie makers selling a product, after all!

Variety.com - Hedge your bets
Substantially fewer films will be produced over the next year or two. And a significant portion of the production costs of the reduced slate will be borne by hedge funds and other investment groups.

More of Innocent Identified

We have some more identities of those innocent house guest.

Pakistan names 3 al Qaeda believed killed in strike
ISLAMABAD (Reuters) - Pakistani intelligence sources on Thursday identified three of four al Qaeda members believed to have been killed by a U.S. airstrike last week, though they have yet to recover the bodies. One of the dead was said to be Abdul Rehman Al-Misri al Maghribi, a son-in-law of al Qaeda second-in-command Ayman al-Zawahri. Another was Midhat Murfi al Sayid Omer, an expert in explosives and poisons who carried a $5 million U.S. reward on his head. The third man named was Abu Obaidah al Misri, al Qaeda's chief of operations in Afghanistan's eastern Kunar province.

The Innocent Define

One of the innocent, or so called innocent, present at the predawn airstrike last Friday -- a Master Bomb Maker. Hmm, innocent?

ABC News: U.S. Strike Killed al Qaeda Bomb Maker
Jan. 18, 2006 — ABC News has learned that Pakistani officials now believe that al Qaeda's master bomb maker and chemical weapons expert was one of the men killed in last week's U.S. missile attack in eastern Pakistan. Midhat Mursi, 52, also known as Abu Khabab al-Masri, was identified by Pakistani authorities as one of four known major al Qaeda leaders present at an apparent terror summit in the village of Damadola early last Friday morning.

But They Were Innocents

It appears that there were indeed terrorist present when the predawn strike took place last Friday... I don't understand all present were innocent, none deserved to die -- right. Like I asked Sunday.
"What if I invited a multiple murder to my house for dinner oh and had no intention of notifying the authorities that he/she would be there? To carry this further while we were eating law enforcement shows up and all heck breaks out, hostages are taken, a standoff ensues, and people die -- would liberal America be crying for me?"

Pakistan says 4 terrorists killed in U.S. strike - International Terrorism - MSNBC.com
PESHAWAR, Pakistan - At least four foreign terrorists died in the U.S. airstrike on a Pakistani border village that was purportedly aimed at al-Qaida’s No. 2 leader, the provincial government said Tuesday.

Coming to Their Senses?

Are they coming to their senses, possibly, maybe -- nah, that is too much to hope for!

FOXNews.com - Politics - Feinstein Warns Against Alito Filibuster
"I do not see a likelihood of a filibuster," said Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif. "This might be a man I disagree with, but it doesn't mean he shouldn't be on the court." She said she will not vote to confirm the appeals court judge, based on his conservative record. But she acknowledged that nothing emerged during last week's hearings to justify any organized action by Democrats to stall the nomination.

Guess He Wasn't There

I blogged earlier earlier it appeared that Ayman al-Zawahri was apparently killed in a early morning strike Friday. We then got mixed reports -- now it appears he did not attend a dinner/meeting he was expected to attend. I do wish we got him.

Al-Qaida leader was invited to dinner - International Terrorism - MSNBC.com
PESHAWAR, Pakistan - Al-Qaida’s No. 2 leader was invited to dinner marking an Islamic holiday at the Pakistani border village struck by a purported CIA airstrike, but he did not show up, intelligence officials said Sunday.
Now we have Pakistanis protesting along with the "gotcha" Americans screaming about all the innocents -- let us look at some more excerpts.
Al-Zawahri sent some aides to the dinner instead and investigators were trying to determine whether they had been in any of the three houses that were destroyed in the missile strike that killed at least 17 people, one of the officials said.
First if al-Zawahri was invited and expected to attend and second if there were Al-Qaeda "aides" or members there -- how innocent were/are these innocents? What if I invited a multiple murder to my house for dinner oh and had no intention of notifying the authorities that he/she would be there? To carry this further while we were eating law enforcement shows up and all heck breaks out, hostages are taken, a standoff ensues, and people die -- would liberal America be crying for me?

Let's See Who am I For?

Since I am a Cowboy fan since I can't remember when -- their out!
Since I am a Colts fan via Volunteer Football and Peyton Manning -- their out!
and a Denver fan since hating John Elway early, ending up liking him, and living in Colorado -- guess it's Go Broncos!

Hey wait, I spent some time around the Seattle area too -- I give up, guess I will watch the Super Bowl for the commercials.

What Do You Think?

I am still pondering this one! My initial reaction is, hooah! My concern, we are currently talking officers in the military and higher income civilians -- what of a delivery driver or a floor associate who is an E-5 in the military? Guess I will wait, watch, and see -- but again initially I say, hooah!, let's hope the action results in support across all classes and ranks.

U.S. sues airline over benefits
The Department of Justice has filed a class-action lawsuit against American Airlines, saying the carrier illegally denied benefits to pilots while they were serving in National Guard and Reserve units. Justice officials said it was the first time they had filed a class-action case charging an employer with violating a 1994 law designed to protect employees who leave their jobs temporarily to serve in military units. The Department of Justice said Thursday night that it filed the lawsuit in U.S. District Court in Dallas on behalf of three Naval Reserve and Air National Guard pilots.

Mixed Reports?

I posted last night that the Osama's No. 2 had been targeted was apparently dead -- we were waiting on forensic test to confirm. You can see them here and here. Now we have this report:

Pakistan Condemns Purported CIA Airstrike - Yahoo! News
"Their information was wrong, and our investigations conclude that they acted on a false information," said a senior Pakistani intelligence official with direct knowledge of Pakistan's investigations into the attack.

His account was confirmed by a senior government official who said al-Zawahri "was not there." Both officials spoke on condition of anonymity because of the subject's sensitivity.
But we also have this report...

ABC News: U.S. Aircraft Targeted al Qaeda Leader
This morning, CIA officials remained optimistic about the strike, but there still has been no confirmation that Zawahiri was among those killed at the scene. However, Pakistani officials now have told the Associated Press they have information that Zawahiri was not at the scene, though it's not clear how they know that.
I guess we are still in wait and see mode.

Keep this Picture

This picture is of Iran's uranium enrichment facility at Natanz. You might want to download this picture and keep in your files... You know if anything happens the MSM and liberals will eventually disavow pictures like this ever existed.. Posted by Picasa
