Extreme Weather and Global Warming

The scare tactics of global warming seem to be working for those still believing the media, and don't read newspapers to see "which way the lefterly winds are blowing?" or what fear mongering lie/rumor is being used today to control the masses...

Amazing, with all the "academia" nuts out there the population is still so ignorant...

Wake up, you are being lied to and someone is making a fortune off your fear and your attempts to do something "good for mother earth" - Buying special bulbs, special additives to the fuel, special, special, all at an added cost to you while lining someone's pockets! BUT, keep in mind, this isn't coming from this evil non-caring conservatives, NO, it comes from the liberal academics that care so much for you!

Does global warming cause extreme weather?:

Meanwhile, the mainstream media has been largely hiding from the public the actual cause of recent extreme weather events

The Market Place Says - NO 2 Electric Cars!

Who would have thought it… consumers don't want a vehicle which has a 35 - 50 mile limit. Guess my co-workers and I could run long extension cords - We don't need to worry about the utilities usages not budgeted, or maybe we should insist the company install "vehicle charging stations"… after all, it is their responsibility, right?

Volt production frozen amid patchy EV sales

I want get into the fact any electricity used in this region originates from "fossil fuel", so if you do buy one of the cars to "save the planet", are you really?

This has some interesting information about the "myth" that is global warming...
"In the early days of the IPCC, I was visiting the head of the White House's Office of Science and Technology Policy -- the director, Dr. Robert Watson, who later became the first Chairman of the IPCC. He informed me and a work associate with me that since we had started to regulate Ozone depleting substances under the 1987 Montreal Protocol, the next goal, in his mind, was to regulate Carbon Dioxide emissions from fossil fuel burning. This was nearly twenty years ago. There was no mention of a scientific basis for that goal. So, as you can see from the beginning of the IPCC process, it has been guided by desired policy outcomes, not science."

Well let's see - The sultans of smart in our education system already want to teach America's children God couldn't have created the planet, every good child should be totally dependent on the government, there is not failure therefore no success, and now further brainwashing that they can someone how "save the planet" by what choosing paper instead of plastic... Really GIVE ME A BREAK!

Environmental Lesson Plans Drawing Praise, Concern
Could environmental education be crossing into environmental indoctrination? Some critics say yes, as schools boast that such curricula simply is teaching children ways of caring for the earth.

Being a "good" student at Western Avenue Elementary School in Flossmoor, Ill., means more than just doing reading, writing and arithmetic well. It also means trying to save the planet.

I do not advocate nor participate in total abandonment and do think we should be good stewards of what GOD have given us; however, it is the arrogance of man to believe that simply their action can and will destroy this planet before the time and place of GOD's choosing... So if we cannot destory before God so chooses, how can we, you, save it????

One more question - A few days last summer we had record highs giving way to "global warming" rhetoric; however, we broke recodes from 1891 and 1902...what was killing the planet then, did they predict the end in 50 years, and what change????? Want to MAYBE convenience me accurately predict the weather tomorrow and we will talk!!!

Global warming - Believe it, below is the evidence -

First Day With A Low Colder Than -10 In Chicago In More Than A Decade
The National Weather Service has issued a wind chill warning until noon Friday. The forecast high for Thursday is expected to linger in the negative range at -2, dropping to -15 overnight. Strong northwest winds are producing wind chill factors of -25 to -40.
Record snowfall, plunging temperatures hit the area
A new record was set Wednesday when Chicago had its ninth consecutive day of measurable snowfall, according to the National Weather Service.

The previous record was eight consecutive days set from Dec. 13 to 20, 1973.
How cold is it? Flint's 95-year-old record low falls as 19 below zero hits city
Flint broke a 95-year-old record early Wednesday morning when the temperature plummeted to a frigid 19 below zero. The previous record? Minus 10, set in 1914, according to the National Weather Service.

Well maybe NOT! One question, what was the reason for such high temperatures 95 years ago - Was this the start of the global warming???

Sure it is...What about Twenty Years?

Easier to predict 100 years...wasn't twenty years the magic number twenty years ago? What is it now twenty more years... The global warming saga continues; of course, when I was in my twenties it was an "ice age" a coming. Let's put it this way - They need to get "almost" as accurate as the Farmers Almanac year-to-year if you expect me to even consider their predictions.

Scientists work on short-term climate predictions

ASPEN — Strange as it might seem, it is easier to predict changes in the climate 100 years from now than one decade from now, say scientists gathering this week in Aspen

There is More to It than They will Report

Here we go - The flood is going t be blamed for rising corn prices, which will cause rising beef prices...AND other commodities such as soybeans will be on the rise for the shortage of corn. But, they are blaming the flood and eventually I foresee the government and President Bush ultimately being blamed.

What they want tell you - Al Gore and his "fear tactics" are much more to blame then any flood!

Did you know that in 1994 Al Gore was the deciding vote on a bill extending an EPA regulation requiring ethanol to be added to the nations gasoline supply - This bill also raised the amount of ethanol mandated to dilute our gas.

Record corn prices mean more expensive meat, dairy
NEW YORK (AP) - Raging Midwest floodwaters that swallowed crops and sent corn and soybean prices soaring are about to give consumers more grief at the grocery store.

It's a similar story for U.S. beef producers who are spending a whopping 60-70% of their production costs on animal feed. That number will rise as corn prices hover near an unprecedented $8 a bushel.

Corn drops as high prices prompt demand worries
VeraSun Energy Corp., the largest U.S. ethanol producer, said this week it will delay the opening of two new ethanol plants — one in Iowa, the other in Minnesota — because of high corn costs and other market conditions.

Corn can be used to make ethanol, which in turn can be used as a substitute for, or additive to, gasoline.

High corn prices are also hurting livestock owners, who spend more than 50 percent of their production costs on corn to feed their cattle, hogs and chickens. Some livestock owners are now faced with slaughtering parts of their herds or flocks to cope with rising feed costs, a move that will mean higher beef, chicken and pork costs later this year, analysts say.

Other agriculture commodities also fell Thursday. Soybeans for July delivery fell 10.5 cents to settle at $15.455 a bushel on the CBOT, while July wheat dropped 23 cents to settle at $8.81 a bushel.
By the way, according to the National Review, "the venture capital group Gore joined in November, Klein Perkins Caufield & Byers, has investments in Amyis and AltraBiofues. One of the key partners of this firm, John Doerr, is advoctiong legislation that would expand bio fuel usage...an astonding number of dollars invested in agritechnology companies by Gore and fols connected to him..." - Proving fear is as good of a business tool as it is a governing tool.

For those of you that believe biofuels are saving the planet - Don't look at those third world counties who are starving, just remember you are saving the planet with your biofuel, to heck with what it does to food cost and poor countries food supply. Biofuel sure doesn't lower fuel cost; however, drilling and building refineries would, not maybe, it will!

"Supply and Demand" - 101

Cal Thomas has a good column on oil, it's prices, and what we could have done! We can still do some of this, but the impact would be years away... But the dirty little secret - "Big Oil" ain't the major problem, those that want you to believe "Big Oil" is the problem, is the problem.

In Defense of 'Big Oil'
According to government estimates, there is enough oil in areas accessible to America - 112 billion barrels - to power more than 60 million cars for 60 years. The Outer Continental Shelf alone contains an estimated 86 billion barrels of oil and 420 trillion cubic feet of natural gas. Had President Clinton not vetoed exploration in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) in 1995, when oil was $19 a barrel, America would currently be receiving more than 1 million barrels a day domestically, all of it taken by better technology than existed more than 30 years ago. That was when the Alaskan pipeline was built despite protests from environmentalists who claimed it would destroy the caribou. It didn't, but the environmentalists are back with the same discredited arguments. Because most of the oil remains "off-limits," we are becoming more dependent on foreign oil.

Isn't it Safe for The Planet

I thought all the environmentalist wanted me driving a "hydrogen" car - Are you telling me it is just as volatile as fossil fuel? Safer for the planet? Maybe yes, just not us humans - An inconvenient truth:-)

Hydrogen Leak in Connecticut Forces Dozens From Homes
MIDDLEBURY, Conn. — Dozens of homes were evacuated here early Tuesday after a tractor-trailer ran off the shoulder on Interstate 84, tumbled down an embankment and began leaking highly volatile hydrogen gas.

Was it or Wasn't it?

Was it a success or wasn't it? That is the question, and much like the subject "Global Warming" no one seems to agree.

We have this head line - "Two Billion", sounds like a success doesn't it?

Two billion watch Live Earth concerts

Then there is the "Live Earth fails...", sounds like it wasn't as success doesn't it?

Live Earth fails to pack large-scale punch

But then we get to the main reason for the even and for Gore's participation...

Al Gore slams global warming doubters at Live Earth
"Some who don't understand what is now at stake tried to stop this event on the Mall," the former Democratic presidential candidate said in a thinly veiled hit on members of President George W. Bush's Republican party.

"But here we are," he said as an image of a bright Earth shined behind him. "And it wasn't the cavalry who came to our rescue, it was the American Indian."

A few hundred spectators turned out for the concert, which began at 10:30 am

It was a political statement, that is it, I am unimpressed with Gore's quest for a legacy and/or a possible why back to the political arena. By the way let's not overlook the fact that the Washington sight managed to gather a "few" hundred - whoopee!

As for me - I am a what is affectionately called a Global Warming "denier"; however, I choose to spend my time watching the "carbon rich" Pepsi 400 which I am sure was much more exciting - Resulting in a "photo finish"!
