Expected To Change for "Some"...

This story demonstrates how in this "PC Correct" society we are expected to change so not to offend - I am expected to change and accept values I don't agree with because a few don't accept my values, REALLY? We as a society are expected to "lower" our expectation and change our values so not to offend - Well I find the requirement of the few very OFFENSIVE, and will not change...
I have every right to state my values and expectations whether the few are offended our not… the few surely don't care if they offend me - Tolerance, is not acceptance and certainly not changing. For me, or this artist, to tolerate a different view of life or different life values doesn't require us to change our values and certainly doesn't require accepting someone else's...

Choices - Limbaugh

Though I disagree with word Limbaugh choose to use, I agree I shouldn't pay for anyone's life choices - Choice, when are we going to hold each other accountable?

Not taking responsibility for our own actions is a major problem and not holding others responsible for their choices is one of THE problems.

Let's take a speeding ticket, I had a good reason to speed or maybe I just felt it would be fun! But it was my life choice and like Fluke I should be able to do what I want at society's expense, right!

An Idea...

...police your own before you tell us how to live our lives!

Those who seek to run our lives
Barack Obama tells us we are greedy and selfish, Nancy Pelosi compares some of us to Nazis, Dick Durbin compared our soldiers to the Soviets who ran the gulags. Still others call us racist if we disagree with them. Any time you turn on the TV you can find some politician lecturing us and wagging his finger in our faces, telling us how we should live our lives.

...and it begins!

PELOSI SAYS BIRTH CONTROL WILL HELP ECONOMY
Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi boldly defended a move to add birth control funding to the new economic "stimulus" package, claiming "contraception will reduce costs to the states and to the federal government."

Pelosi, the mother of 5 children and 6 grandchildren, who once said, "Nothing in my life will ever, ever compare to being a mom," seemed to imply babies are somehow a burden on the treasury.

How much further a move would it be to say "abortion (selective) is needed to assist in managing the economy - Yep, I can see nothing but good things, in the recent move to make our "free" economy state ran, NOT!

Worth Noting

I felt it was worth noting - An American holiday out in favor for a Muslim holiday...anybody got a problem with this? I reserve my comments. for now.Tyson Drops Labor Day for Muslim Holiday
SHELBYVILLE, Tenn. — Workers at the Tyson Foods poultry processing plant in Shelbyville will no longer have a paid day off on Labor Day but will instead be granted the Muslim holiday Eid al-Fitr.

Holding Them Accountable - Right!

Nothing like holding individuals and companies accountable for their own actions and decisions - Guess there is really no hope this will ever happen as long as politicians are able to buy votes and the population feels they should not be responsible for their mistakes. Maybe, just maybe, soon the government will start reimburse the monies lost at casinos - After all those that lost were only trying to make life better for themselves and their family!

President Bush Signs Housing Bill to Provide Mortgage Relief
The measure, regarded as the most significant housing legislation in decades, lets homeowners who cannot afford their payments refinance into more affordable government-backed loans rather than losing their homes.

It offers a temporary financial lifeline to troubled mortgage companies Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and tightens controls over the two government-sponsored businesses.

Give me a Break - Sensitive or Sensationalism

Miller Apologizes for Comments He Made About Mediate
Ciongoli said that his letter “is not meant to be an attack upon NBC, but rather to be an illumination of a problem that continues to trouble our society.”“The perpetuation of negative stereotypes and demeaning language hurts us all,” he said. But Anthony Baratta, the president of the Order Sons of Italy in America’s commission for social justice, demanded Miller’s suspension. “If Johnny Miller had made a similar remark about Tiger Woods,” he said Thursday in a press release, “he would have been fired.”
Are we really that sensitive or just that sensational? Come on, media types can dog "red necks", "country bumpkins", "Christians" and "farmer types" all the time...well even presidential candidates can, and the claim is "we were not talking about them they just read to much into it; however, when a specific group does read to much into a statement - "Katie bar the door" we want them hung...
These groups are simply looking for publicity through sensationalism - IMOH!

Disclaimer - "hung" is not meant to be derogatory to anyone's ancestry which may or may not involve "horse thievery", "rapists", "murders", "race", "racists", "religion", etc. etc. etc.
