Nothing is Free… Someone Always Pays!

Entitlements are increasing at an alarming rate - Obama and democrats want you to believe there will be no problem… What they mean, shut-up and let us get more people (voters) dependent on free money for nothing and they will just tax tax working Americans into poverty - AND THEN and ONLY THEN will they achieve equality!

Not my idea of fair - Good way to destroy ingenuity, motivation, etc. though!

Chart: Entitlement Spending Will Nearly Double by 2050:

Obamacare subsidies will soar over the next 38 years, leaving future generations with an alarming debt burden.

...

Starting in 2010, Social Security began to permanently spend more than it takes in.

Jobless Rate Climbs & The Experts are "EXPECTANTLY" Ignorant!

The jobless rate continues to climb and the "experts" continue to be surprised by the UNEXPECTED findings. Who are these idiots? A six year old would know what to expect and would certainly understand years of using the world UNEXPECTED was fooling knowing!
U.S. employers added 18,000 workers in June, the fewest in nine months, and the unemployment rate unexpectedly climbed, indicating a struggling labor market.

Financial Reform: Dodd's Even Bigger Government Solution to Financial Risk
The proposal, being circulated at the moment as a "discussion draft," includes big government solutions to virtually every problem that it seeks to address, including in many cases even more government intervention and new government agencies than the House legislation.

The 'Hoax' is 'Warming Up' - Will it Burn Down?

Will the release of these emails wake up the public before they loose more of their rights to choose not to mention the money being stolen base due to this hoax with "cap and trade"? I can guarantee you the "main stream media" will defend their blunder to the last breath or until the public forces them to actually "tell the truth"

Facing Scandal, Head of Climate Research Lab to Temporarily Step Down
Matt Dempsey, spokesman for Sen. Jim Inhofe, R-Okla., thinks more is still to come from the scandal coming to be known as Climate-gate. “It certainly shows that there’s more to the investigation and there’s more to come, and we’re only at the beginning stages of learning about Climate-gate," he told FoxNews.com.

Do you believe there will be any "real investigation" with Pelosi and Reid...I think not!

Good News - NOT

The below is "great news"...we have so much to look forward to! For example, more taxes for "the greater good", go carts with electric mower engines, BS about renewable energies while you are still burning fossil fuels just not "oil"...and nobody will tell you how much these "batteries" will cost to buy, to dispose of, or the cost associated with gearing our emergency personnel up to deal with these "batteries"!

NO, it ain't good news - But hey I am a "global warming denier" and proud of it!

Some Hint at Progress on Climate Deal - NYTimes.com

Couldn't have Said it Better

Many that know me have heard me harp about being sick and tired of hearing "the worst economy since the 'great depression'" - Knowing that many younger than 50 just weren't taught history before 1960 and those in their 30's nothing before Clinton. All seem to have forgotten the 70's, unemployment, inflation, and the initiation of a misery index (note Mr. Obama inherited a lower index than his predecessor while his climbed in the few months of office Bush's was lower after eight years, if anyone cares.).

Well I found someone other than I that remembers the 70's...all be it an evil "conservative" - Go figure.

Tell me if I have seen this before: Swine flu, Russian subs off the American coast, indecision toward Afghanistan, hot summers followed by cold winters. And then there is high unemployment and soon-to-be high inflation. Am I imagining things or is this a return to the 1970's?

I remember the ‘70's very well, especially the winter of '78. The heater broke in the middle of the coldest winter on St. Louis record and it was a miserable time. What struck me most was scientists trying to blame the frigid temperatures on global cooling. Make up your minds, will you

Forgetting Defense ...

Forgetting defense or like other democrats kicking it to the side claiming the fight the "war on poverty" one that hasn't been made any advancements in 50 years - Guess now it is the "healthcare war".

...one question, if the "healthcare plan" will pay for it's self, as our president claimed, why the need to cut the military budget????

How to Dismantle a Military Superpower
Ultimately, severe modernization cuts could increase the likelihood that U.S. military capabilities will fall short of the nation's wide-ranging security commitments. Current budget plans indicate the United States may relinquish its military superpower status - not to another nation per se, but by reverting to a position where it lacks the capacity to engage and maintain a forward presence globally.

How Much More can They Handle

These are scary numbers - How much more than the "rich" afford, and what will this do to "incentive and drive to better oneself"? How long till the "number" defining "the rich" comes down?

How Much More Can We Redistribute: IRS Releases New Data » The Foundry
According to the IRS, the top 1 percent of taxpayers paid over 40 percent of all federal income taxes in 2007. That is a higher share than the bottom 95 percent of taxpayers combined! They paid just over 39 percent.
[...}
In contrast, the bottom 40% of taxpayers pays no income taxes on average. In fact, they get money from the tax code well above anything they paid in because of refundable credits. And President Obama’s Make Work Pay credit, passed as part of the stimulus, will increase the money redistributed to these non-taxpayers.

...and for those that believe my first link is a "right wing ....", here is the IRS site, do the numbers yourself! If your taxpayer paid public education feel a little short - As a liberal elite, you know some unfortunate sole who was mistreated like Barack and Michelle, but still received an education worth a quarter of a million dollars are more.

Taxes, where to They Go?

Found this rather interesting...

How Washington Is Spending Your Taxes in 2009 - Printer friendly page
Washington will spend $33,880 per household in 2009 - the highest level in American history (adjusted for inflation), and nearly $8,000 per household more than last year.

The federal government will collect $18,277 per household in taxes. The remaining $15,603 represents this year's staggering budget deficit per household, which, along with all prior government debt, will be dumped in the laps of our children.

The Promises are Falling Apart?

Can the Obama loving and protecting media actually being turning against their beloved leader?

AP News: PROMISES, PROMISES: Obama tax pledge unrealistic

have already increased tobacco taxes - which disproportionately hit the poor[...]"Not your income tax, not your payroll tax, not your capital gains taxes, not any of your taxes," Obama told a crowd in Dover, N.H., last year. But less than a month after taking office, Obama signed an expansion of child health care financed by 62-cent tax increase on each pack of cigarettes.[...]While not directly increasing taxes, a House-passed version of Obama's plan to reduce greenhouse gases blamed for causing global warming would similarly increase American families' home energy bills by $175 a year on average, according to the Congressional Budget Office.

Q4 GDP down 3.8 percent, biggest drop since 1982
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The economy shrank at its fastest pace in nearly 27 years in the fourth quarter, government data showed, sinking deeper into recession as consumers and business cut spending.
So what is it? In all the "scare tactics", it appears the media and our President can't get the facts straight - Or maybe the facts are in the way... But what is is, worst economy since the depression, worst economy since 1982, or since "all" of 2008 had more growth than 2001 (2001 total growth = .08% and 2008 total growth = 1.3%) - Is it only the worst economy in since 2001? Don't worry the media want let the flats cloud their agenda!!!

Not even close! Imagine my surprise when a actual newspaper tells us some truth - Really how do you compare something to '29 when it ain't even as bad as '79???

The Economic Crunch: Today's money troubles 'not even close' to 1929 collapse
"They ain't tough enough to make it back yonder," says 94-year-old Beatrice Boyd, who had seven sisters, six brothers, and was the daughter of a Covington sharecropper. "They talk about hard times now? It ain't no hard time now."

Dr. Dale Bails, dean of business at Christian Brothers University, agrees.

"She's right," he said. "There's no comparison. None. It's not even close."

It is going to be a bad Christmas shopping season, right? I ain't believing it! It was reported Black Friday was 10% better than 2007; however, one week later we hear the gloom and doom - Worst season in decades! Right, in a week we go from super to sucks..don't believe it, don't get suckered into it's the end as we know it and "the government has to save us" process. Anyone reading this remember Carter and mortgage rates between 19 and 28%?

I am out with my wife shopping, well I shopped at best buy, now I am sitting in Starbucks waiting on her - The place is packed as it is every year. Then I read the below story - People are spending and spending well...news like this doesn't fit the mold!
SEATTLE - Online retailer Amazon.com Inc. called this holiday season its "best ever," saying Friday that it saw a 17 percent increase in orders on its busiest day - a rare piece of good news in a season...

Believe what you will about the "gloom and doom" economy; however, people spending big money on NON-essentials in the middle of "gloom and doom" either says it ain't so gloomy or there are a lot of stupid people out there.
U.S. retail sales of video game hardware, software and accessories jumped 10 percent last month from the year-ago period to $2.91 billion, boosted by strong sales of Nintendo Co.'s Wii, Microsoft Corp.'s Xbox 360 and the alien shooter game "Gears of War 2." By BARBARA ORTUTAY AP Technology Writer

In reading today's news I spotted this in the AP -
The NBER says its group of academic economists who determine business cycles met and decided that the U.S. recession began in December 2007.

Looks like some our again changing definitions to match "their" template.

Even more steps to socialize the country - The legacy of our conservative president (right) will be turning the entire economy over to the government...a government which has proven time and time again they are unable to make good business decisions!
Reported by AP's Martin Crutsinger,
WASHINGTON - The Bush administration will spend $250 billion this year to purchase stock in banks..
How much is that now?

This is scary - Socialism on the march -
AP writers Harry Dunphy and Tom Raum report:
U.S. lawmakers urged quick action by the Bush administration on measures to make direct purchases of bank stock to help unlock lending.

This is America isn't it with government molded by the people and for the people, but one that has demonstrated over and over they suck at business - Heck can they balance a check book yet?
